So little is ever said about Kerry's positions, I found it enlightening.
If anyone here is working with the Kerry campaign, could you find out for me just where Kerry found all of the money trees?

Why? Why do you want the tax cuts repealed?
Repealing the tax cut is one of the top 2 reasons I couldn't vote for Kerry. Doing so, I believe, will send this country back into recession. We're climbing out now, why move backward? Tax cuts create jobs. Those who don't pay taxes shouldn't reap a benefit. Sounds harsh but it makes economical sense.
That's a tricky area Jumper.
Tax cuts being repealed just means that the wealthy will have to look for other "loopholes" and ways to work out tax cuts for themselves. Unfortunately one of thoise ways could effect jobs. The wealthy are a large part of the business owners of America, if tax cuts are repealed completelty it sould lead to job losses where business owners try to recoup their lost income.
Plus, the wealthy wont stand for having their tax cuts repealed.
There will be a HUGE STINK over that one.

What did the average middle class person receive as a benefit from this tax cut???? What?? Maybe $300 or so.
How much debt has our country accumulated as a result of the tax cut and all of W's spending??
I thought the tax cut was bullshit then and I still think it's bullshit. Smoke and mirrors to be exact.

And if you really want the money to recirculate back into the economy, how about starting at the bottom where you know people will spend the cash as opposed to those who are already affluent? Especially since the lost revenues to the government would be minimal compared to the revenues lost from generous cuts to the top.
Why focus on cuts unrelated to actual work? Why not cut taxes on salaries on actual labor first and then work your way up to dividends?
Why should a hard working, full-time wage earner with a family of four making $55,000 a year pay wage taxes when those at the top get cuts in the tens of thousands of dollars?
If we weren't seeing 20 year widening in wealth between the top and the bottom, and record numbers of uninsureds, I could be more sympathetic to tax cuts for the wealthiest.
The widening gap is an important issue to our national health, and President Bush doesn't understand it, nor will he do anything about it.
That the middle class bears a greater percentage of the tax burden after 4 years of Bush is NOT a good thing.

I'm sorry, I don't see it this way. Kerry didn't exactly spell out in detail what he would do but I liked what he said better than Bush's "It's hard work" answers.
